Icon, one of Australia’s leading integrated communications agencies, has been shortlisted as a national finalist in three categories in the Australian Marketing Institute’s annual awards, to be announced next month.
Icon’s work with the industry super funds-owned bank ‘ME’ has been recognised in both the ‘Financial Services Marketing’ and ‘Brand Revitalisation’ categories. Working with ME’s brand agency Dick&Jane, Icon developed the creative campaign for ME Bank’s Frank credit cards.
Icon is also shortlisted in the ‘Public Sector Marketing’ category for its important and creative campaign with the Department of Justice and Regulation, ‘YourPlay’.
Joanne Painter, Icon’s Group Managing Director, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled that Icon has been shortlisted for three categories at this year’s AMI Awards.”
The AMI Awards for Marketing Excellence are given out each year to organisations and marketers who have achieved exceptional success from innovative and effective marketing practices.
“Our whole agency is immensely proud of the creative and successful Frank campaign with ME, as well as the important ‘YourPlay’ campaign with the Department of Justice and Regulation. Both clients were great to work with, and fingers crossed for the final in Sydney!” Jo added.
Australia’s first statewide pre-commitment scheme, YourPlay is a card-based tool that pokie players across Victoria can use to track the money and time they spend using gaming machines at licensed sports, social and service clubs. Every gaming machine in Victoria is now fitted with a YourPlay card reader.
As the leading body for marketing professionals, the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) collaborates with marketers across business, government, not-for-profit, industry and education to recognise purposeful and measureable marketing. Its awards acknowledge the critical role marketing plays in delivering business results, customer value and transformation.
Icon will join other shortlisted finalists at the Awards Gala Presentation on 19 October at The Sheraton on the Park, Sydney.
